Group 1 Presentation Experience Thalia La O
First, I have to say that our group was one of the best, the group's dynamic was good, everybody did their thing, we didn't have any problems, and overall, all of us worked as a group and helped each other. We presented in the form of a Prezi, and I think the idea came fresh since nobody else did it like that, and the app has a lot of cool features. I have to say I was nervous about how all of this came out since I have never done a presentation online like that, but it turns out that it came out okay. I felt that I talked more open, and I got less nervous than I usually do when I must present at school in person.
For me, chapter 3 was more than just a project at school is the truth that we are living nowadays because everything related to there is the problem that we are dealing in the last century. What is means culture in a country as big as this one, with so many ethnicities and identities and mixed, is hard to define, but no impossible and even though all of us are the same "human beings" there is still a lot of racism and hate to another culture. In how if we don't speak the language or even, we do, but we have an accent, we get to get laughed at or worse. Some people tend not to say their religion or their political affiliation without getting judged at first sight. There are still some privileges to men over women; there is still so much work to do. So far, our group did an excellent job explaining all these problems.
Chapter 9 was an exciting topic based on how important communication in groups is; indeed, I dare say the fundamental key to how your grade is going to project. Communication is the key to help us understand something that we miss, or maybe we didn't understand. Social groups, service groups, and workgroup teams are designed for the need that we have in that precise moment. Some share a similar taste, another just because they work in the same place and another because they didn't have another option. But in the end, the groups tend to have a place on it and share their part. They also explain what the active goals for a team are. Also, how if it is a healthy group with a simple meeting, it will be all that it takes to make the project work. It doesn't matter where each member is (like what is happening right now); if you put the effort, everything can be achieved.
Chapter 10 was about group leadership and problem-solving; this can be an issue in some places in other not so much. Still, there is always going to be criticism to the leader; not everybody is going to agree with you, and it depends on what kind of leader you are. I think group 3 did a fantastic job, the guys where great and they did quizzes that were games, it was easier to understand the material. It is significant to prepare before the meeting, so you know what you will explain to your team members. During the session, modify and change some goals that you made and do it more realistically since nobody is the same and not all of our work in the same direction, after the meeting review what was said at the meeting and try to work in that form toward to the new goals. As was said during the conclusion, leadership plays a huge part in the group.
Extremely nice reflection!! Very nice writing!!
